Adrienne Tarrence APC, NCC

It’s scary to open up about the hurt and pain you’ve experienced with someone new.

Finding a therapist that is best fit for you is…..well, hard. Someone who gives you permission to take up space. Someone who is truly listening without judgment. Someone to navigate the hard things alongside. When you experience therapy with me you’ll find a space that’s gentle, inviting, and accepting - you are allowed to show up authentically and wholly yourself. A place to heal and grow in the ways you hope and desire.

Life’s experiences have shaped the way you show up in the world. The world’s message that you’re “too much” has colored your view. There is opportunity for healing and transformation. In your work with me, anxiety can become less crippling and more manageable. You can find coping skills to navigate ALL of your emotions, not just some.

As your therapist, I guide you through self-discovery and understanding of the patterns and themes that have become so distressing. There will be space for exploring all of your intersections (gender, sexuality, religion/spirituality, race/ethnicity) that make up who you are. We can learn how to flourish in every part of your identity. My approach involves curiosity and not judgment. By experiencing a deeper level of awareness to your body we can discover where the trauma has been held. It’s in that awareness you can truly learn to understand once again the feelings you regularly feel. Once again you can feel safe with yourself. You can feel free from the pain that feels so heavy.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy caring for my plant babes, sipping single-origin coffee, and reading a good memoir. I love to spend time with my family, my partner, and our sweet Great Pyrenees, Atlas.
