Finding the best fit with a therapist can feel like dating - it takes several tries to get it right.

Whether this is your first time in therapy, you’ve tried several therapists and it just hasn’t felt right yet, or you’ve done amazing work in therapy in the past and are looking to do different work now, I’m here to meet you wherever you’re at.

The persistence is worth it.

It is a unique experience to have a relationship with someone where you feel completely seen and known. They link arms with you and say “I’ve got you and we’re in this together.” You’re not only heard but also felt. No matter what you feel, your emotions are always validated. Suddenly, you feel less alone in this lonely place. You deserve this - and I hope to create it with you.

You are here to build healthier relationships in your life. People - your partner(s), parents, closest friends - have let you down. Maybe they did the best they could, but it wasn’t quite enough. Those imperfect relationships created this core belief inside of you - that you are not enough or you are too much. This pain keeps you from safe and secure connection with the people in your life.

It gets so much better than this.

Therapy should be a coming home to yourself - healing and integrating parts that have been lost or wounded along the way. Throughout this journey, we will uncover past experiences that help us make sense of the way you move in the world today. There is no moving forward without looking back.

In couples therapy, there will be equal space and empathy for all partners - no one person will be viewed as “the problem.” There’s no question you love each other, but you have big issues you need help working through. I promise to really listen, be direct, and give practical tools to utilize at home that create lasting change.

Our work together will go beyond surface level problem solving. You will learn more than you thought possible about yourself and partner to connect deeper than ever before. How? Attachment will be the foundation of our work together. We will explore how your attachment style + core beliefs trigger the repetitive “dance” between you. Through deeper vulnerability + empathy, capacity for healthier communication, and new abilities to express + meet needs, the dynamic is free to finally get past its’ stuck points.

In individual therapy, my focus is solely on you. You may need an unbiased perspective on your relationship issues, a safe place to unburden the dark parts of your story, someone always on your side, clear eyes to what you may be missing, a cheerleader for your successes, or a moderator for bringing the shattered parts of yourself back together. I am a firm believer that “Trust is earned, not given,” so I will do my best earn the privilege to be these things for you.

Your deep work can include revisiting hurtful memories and giving them the healing space and validation they deserve. Building deeper understanding empathy for all parts of yourself is the key to decreasing the chaos you feel inside. You can learn how your nervous system has and continues to play a major part in your reactions to triggers and unsafe experiences in life. By learning skills for emotional and physical regulation you can regain feeling in control of you. You deserve to feel safe and connected in your body. You deserve to feel whole again.

All of you is worthy of love.

Some sessions will be full of heavy tears - you may feel drained and need to go home and rest afterwards. Other sessions will be joyous celebrations - you may leave buzzing from laughter and lightness. No matter the type of session, I will link arms with you every step of the way.

I help take care of you by also taking care of me. My forms of self-care include cuddling up with my fiancé + our Great Pyrenees pup - Atlas, moving my body gently through yoga, exploring ATL’s newest coffee shops + restaurants, and reminding myself how vast the world is through travel.
