“Who, my dear child, has taken the word loveable out of your dictionary and mine, and replaced it with perfect?”

Where Reasons End, Li Yiyun

It makes so much sense that you’re here – hoping things can feel lighter, that therapy might offer relief from the pressure, anxiety numbness, or pain. Maybe you’re wondering: What does therapy look like? How do I find a therapist who really gets me?

You may be carrying expectations that aren’t yours alone – shaped by family, culture, society, and life experiences. You deserve a space where you don’t have to perform, mask, or have it all figured out. In therapy, you can simply be – and together, we’ll explore the parts of you that long for clarity, connection, and relief.

Together we will work to create a space where all parts of you are welcome – the parts that ache, the parts that protect, and the parts that long for connection. Many of my clients come to therapy navigating complex family dynamics, relational wounds, &/or life transitions. Together, we slow down and listen inward, exploring your mind, body, and spirit with compassion and curiosity. As you deepen your relationship with yourself, you may begin to experience more freedom, softness, and self-understanding. You don’t have to keep holding it all alone.

We all navigate intersections of identity: from relational roles (parent, child, partner, friend, employee) to sexual orientation, gender, race, culture, and more. Growing up mixed-race in a bicultural home, my upbringing was shaped by both immigrant and non-immigrant experiences – straddling cultures, expectations, and ways of being. As a therapist I know that you have also been shaped by many factors – including who you choose to be. You are welcome here.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading fantasy, watching period C-dramas, and taking walks while on the phone with a friend. I love spending time with my family and daydreaming about international travel and food.

I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Please reach out for a free 15 min phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
