Staci Levine, LMSW

There is nothing wrong with feeling deeply, especially in a world that asks people to disconnect from themselves.

You might be the person everyone leans on; the deep-feeler, the overthinker, the one who notices everything. Maybe your emotions feel big, fast, and hard to contain. Maybe you’ve spent years being told you’re “too sensitive,” “too much,” or that you need to “toughen up.” But what if your sensitivity isn’t the problem? What if your ability to feel deeply is actually a strength, you’ve just been carrying too much for too long? If that sounds like you, you came to the right place. I am a big feeler too, and I am here to help you learn what’s yours to hold, and what you no longer need to carry.

I work with teens and adults who experience high emotional intensity, anxiety, overwhelm, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation. Many of my clients are highly sensitive, neurodivergent (adhd/autism), and/or queer folks who have lived through experiences that taught their bodies to always be on high alert. Those experiences can continue to haunt us, and can show up as racing thoughts, emotional shutdown, chronic illness, people-pleasing, panic, numbness, irritability, or feeling like you can’t fully relax. Trauma doesn’t just live in the story; it lives in the body, and until we can move through it, the body is where it stays.

Therapy with me can look like many different things, because healing is never one-size-fits-all. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and nervous-system focused, integrating somatic experiencing, IFS parts work, mindfulness, and practical tools for emotional regulation. My therapeutic lens is deeply shaped by my continued training in Somatic Experiencing (intermediate 2 level) and my background as a registered yoga teacher (200-hour), which informs my holistic perspective on healing in both the body and the mind. Together, we will make sense of the patterns your nervous system created to survive, and begin building safety, regulation, and trust within yourself.

As a queer, neurospicy therapist who is also highly sensitive, I know how important it is to have a space where all parts of you are welcome: the messy, guarded, angry, grieving, and hopeful. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, or carrying pain that feels too heavy to hold alone, you don’t have to stay there. I am here to support you - let us move into healing, together.

Outside the therapy space, you’ll probably find me hyper-fixated on a new craft, halfway down a random rabbit hole, and wondering how I ended up there in the first place.

Walk & Talk Therapy

In addition to traditional therapy, I offer walk and talk therapy to integrate the healing power of nature into our work. Walk and Talk therapy offers a movement-based approach to healing, combining the ease of walking with the support of a compassionate therapist.  Sessions take place on a semi-paved, well-lit path with benches available for breaks. Prefer not to walk but still want to be outdoors? We can settle on a blanket, lawn chair, or a park bench. Please contact me for more information about walk and talk therapy.
